What is Richmond Tree Week?
Richmond Tree Week (RTW 2024) is an annual autumn event series that celebrates Richmond's urban forests, showcases the incredible urban greening efforts happening across our city, and reaffirms our commitment to expanding tree canopy and cooling down communities.

Who’s involved with RTW 2024?
Richmond Tree Week is a collaborative effort of local community groups, environmental organizations, and City of Richmond (COR) departments and divisions.

Where did Richmond Tree Week come from?
Richmond Tree Week, formerly known as ArborDayRVA, is celebrating it’s 5th year! What started out as a last-minute collaborative tree giveaway campaign during the summer of 2020, has now evolved into a citywide event series that celebrates all things TREES!
Richmond Tree Week focuses on bringing community together through various tree-centric events happening across Richmond. We hope to spread awareness of all the amazing environmental organizations, community groups, and City departments, whose mission is to increase and maintain our urban tree canopy, while inspiring the next generation of urban and community forestry advocates.
