The Richmond Tree Committee meets quarterly and is open to all. This acts as a forum to share tree information and receive updates from the 2021 Priority committees (aka “Branches.”)

Data Branch

Updating the tree inventory, updating the Urban Tree Canopy analysis, ensuring the Urban Forestry division is working with the most up-to-date source data to drive decision making.

Community Branch

Equity-centered community engagement, public education and outreach, volunteer opportunities, workshops + classes, listening sessions, and more.

Policy Branch

Updating the City of Richmond’s tree ordinance, providing technical expertise and advice on urban forestry-related policy, advocating for preservation during the planning and development process, and ensuring current and future policies are aligned with Richmond 300’s tree canopy goals.
